Jill Rauh
Jill Rauh serves as Executive Director of the Secretariat of Justice and Peace for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
In this role, she oversees efforts to advance the Church’s social mission through formation, policy analysis, advocacy, and outreach. Her work supports episcopal committees focused on domestic and international justice, religious liberty, and anti-racism. Jill has also helped mobilize bishops and Catholic funders in implementing ecological justice initiatives inspired by Laudato Si’.
Prior to this appointment, Jill served as Director of Education and Outreach for the USCCB’s Department of Justice, Peace, and Human Development, helping Catholics integrate prayer, formation, and action in response to poverty and injustice.
A Rostro de Cristo alumna, Jill served for a year in Ecuador, an experience that profoundly shaped her vocational path toward theological study, international affairs, and public policy rooted in faith. She is the author of Of Lives and Crosses: Stories from a Place Called Durán, a memoir reflecting on her volunteer experience.
Jill’s professional and personal life reflect a deep commitment to Catholic social teaching and structural justice. Her leadership embodies Rostro de Cristo’s call to integrate faith formation, solidarity with the marginalized, and transformative action.
Jill is a graduate of Marquette University and holds master’s degrees in International Affairs from George Washington University and in Theology from Washington Theological Union. She and her husband, Ajmel Qureshi, are recipients of Marquette University’s National Spirit of Alumni Award.
