Evan Cuthbert,
Executive Director
Evan has been the Executive Director of Rostro de Cristo since 2013. From 2005-11 he lived and worked in Cochabamba, Bolivia as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner with his spouse, Sue, and two daughters, Mary and Rose. In Bolivia Evan taught Spirituality of Mission to young men and women in formation; faciltated workshops to enhance construtive communication skills; supported the pastoral outreach in the barrio and parish; initiated a parish summer camp in collaboration with young adults from the local community; and collaborated with Bolivian and US-based organizations seeking to understand the social, political, cultural, and environmental issues effecting ordinary people in Bolivia including researching relevant issues and guiding visiting groups. Evan has also served as a Jesuit Volunteer in Tacna, Peru, a campus minister at Boston College, a parish youth minister and faith formation director; and an outdoor education instructor. He received a Masters of Divinity from Weston Jesuit School of Theology and lives in Braintree, MA.

Ana López,
Associate Director
Ana joined Rostro de Cristo’s staff in August 2022. She directs the volunteer and retreat group programs while supporting the day-to-day operations in the U.S. office. Ana volunteered in Guayaquil, Ecuador with Rostro de Cristo in 2012-2013 where she fell in love with the people, talking about spirituality, and dancing bachata. Originally from Santa Maria, the central coast of California, her roots are intertwined with the beauty and complexity of migration. Before joining Rostro de Cristo’s staff Ana worked at St. Cornelius Catholic Church (Long Beach, CA); Loyola Marymount's Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; St. Ignatius Prep (San Francisco, CA); and Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School (San Jose, CA). Ana has B.A.'s in Theology/Theological Studies and Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University and her M. Div. from the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara. She lives in Long Beach, CA.

Emmanuel Méndez,
Ecuador Program Manager
As Ecuador Program Manager, Emmanuel is responsible for leading and overseeing the operations of the Foundation in Ecuador, as well as supporting the overall health of the volunteers throughout their transformational experience. He served as a volunteer with the Salesian Lay Missioner program of the Eastern Province of the United States for over 3 years (2013-2016) with a direct impact on the lives of young people. There he was able to support meaningful educational, social, and community development work in three different countries: Bolivia, United States, and Zambia. Emmanuel graduated with a B.A. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. Manny loves surfing and organic vegan food; to experience nature in its purest sacred form; to read about history, health and spirituality; and he is passionate about learning and growth, justice and compassion, and the truth.
